Stockport Food
Partnership Projects

The Stockport Food Partnership will be collaborative, supported by leaders and enablers across the Stockport food system. It will build on and seek to scale up successful existing projects. The work will be informed by learning, insight and evidence which will produce work which is ambitious and innovative. We will be clear in our communications and ensure that our work is inclusive of all.

Project Areas

These are the topics the Stockport Food Partnership have been focusing on between 2024 - 2026.

We met with community partners who deliver food education courses to discuss what could be improved.

We then worked with a student from the University of Manchester to develop some research on what elements make a successful food education programme.

Growing the Partnership

We would like to continue to grow as Good Food Stockport but this is run on a voluntary basis with a small amount of non-recurrent funding.

We are working with all 10 local authorities in Greater Manchester to learn from each other and shape policy where possible.
